During certain times of the winter, some mountain huts stay open to snowshoers, climbers and ski-tourers. Spending a night in a mountain hut far away from the hustle and bustle of the town during the dark winter months can be a very special experience. For the most adventurous snowshoers, even a night spend in a snow hole can be arranged.
Winter in the Alps adds a whole new dimension to your walking adventure but it may also open up to some potential dangers that do not exist in the summer. Safety is top priority on our snowshoe trips and we ensure that, where necessary, safety training is provided. For those interested, we can teach winter skills such as winter navigation, avalanche awareness and safe travel in winter as an integral part of your snowshoeing trip.

Price guide lines for full day and 1/2 day privately guided walks in Chamonix
A typical day will start around 9.00 and you will be back by 16.00. A half day can be morning or afternoon and typically lasts 3 hours in total. Our prices are quoted as guide lines and may vary slightly depending on the specific itinerary so please contact us to get a competitive quote for your adventure.
Price per FULL day in Euros: Price per HALF day in Euros:
1-4 people: €210 or £175 1-4 people: €125 or £100
5+ people: +€50 or £40 per extra person 5+ people: +€30 or £25 per extra person
Prices include trip planning, guide fees, snowshoe and poles rental and transport to/from the start/finish point of the walk.
Lifts/cable cars and avalanche transceivers (if applicable) are NOT included in the price.
Boots and other equipment is widely available for hire in the Chamonix valley.
